This was the post I had planned and started for the 15th but did not finish until tonight. I had to complete it before I do tonight's post...stay tuned.
Larzipan is 3 years and 1.5 months old - we got this far without having Barney in our lives, televisions, and eardrums. It was a good run.
Today, this YOT Day 53, I am glad to have made it this long without the damn purple dinosaur in my face.
Not many parents make it this far and that is why I am thankful. It's not HORRIBLE...just a bit annoying. I mean, I am not writing a suicide note or threatening to punch the tv right in the dino face or anything, so that's good, I think. I am not sure if the boy is getting anything out of it, as it seems to be a bit young for him but for reason, he loves it.
The most disturbing part of it is the green one (is that Baby Bop?) wearing a tutu. It bothers me to no end. I think because it reminds me of the little girl we all know. The super annoying ugly fat kid that thinks she is a princess and her mom lets her wear anything she wants without regard for what actually makes her daughter cute. I know it is not her fault, but I don't like that kid. Also, I don't like Baby Bop.
This is a phase. This is a phase. This is a phase. Right? He has not gotten over Thomas but he has gotten over other things. This better be one of those other things.
If anyone as ANY better options for something new - I beg you - bring it to me!
I very recently discovered Yo Gabba Gabba. I don't have a child who will watch it for hours on end, so I don't know if it is one that will turn into something terrible, but I like it.
